Lennis Burke MD, FACC

Dr. Burke was born in Los Angeles and graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency training at L.A. County-USC Medical Center. Dr. Burke began his pediatric cardiology office practice joining Pacific Pediatric Cardiology in 1987 following fellowship training at the University of California Los Angeles and two years as a general pediatrician. His special interests are pediatric and fetal echocardiography.

Elizabeth De Oliveira MD, FAAP, FACC, FAHA

Dr. De Oliveira was born in Brazil and graduated from the Medical School of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. She completed residency in Pediatrics at The Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at The New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical College in 1989. Prior to moving to Los Angeles in 1998, Dr. De Oliveira did research in cholesterol metabolism at The Rockefeller University and completed a Senior Research Fellowship in Pediatric Echocardiography at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. She started practicing pediatric cardiology in East Los Angeles and joined Pacific Pediatric Cardiology in 2000. Her interests include non-invasive and clinical pediatric cardiology as well as diagnosis and management of lipid disorders in children and adolescents. She loves classical music, ballroom dancing and traveling around the world with her family.

Joseph Ahdoot MD, FACC

Dr. Ahdoot began his pediatric cardiology office practice at Pacific Pediatric Cardiology in 2003 after three years on the cardiology faculty at Children's Hospital Orange County. He completed his fellowship training at UCLA, and residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He attended The University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine. His special interest are interventional cardiac catheterization, including ASD and PDA closure as well as adult congenital heart disease. His hobbies include playing soccer, rooting for the Lakers and going to live concerts.

Robert Loitz MD, FACC

Dr. Loitz began his pediatric cardiology office practice in 1984 following fellowship training at The University of California-San Francisco. He merged his solo practice with Pacific Pediatric Cardiology in 2005. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and went to Stanford University and Stanford School of Medicine. His special interests are children and adults with congenital heart disease. His hobbies include arts appreciation and rooting for the Stanford Cardinal, Lakers and Dodgers.

Irving Tessler MD, FACC

Dr. Tessler was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He attended McGill University in Montreal, where he earned his Bachelor of Science and Medical Degrees. He came to UCLA for his Pediatric Residency and stayed on to complete a Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship. Dr. Tessler has practiced Pediatric Cardiology for over 37 years, and was one of the first to perform pediatric interventional catheterizations in the Los Angeles area. He was instrumental in the formation of the Pacific Pediatric Cardiology Medical Group. He is now semi-retired and continues to work with our practice, seeing office patients several days a week. His interest in clinical pediatric cardiology and in the care of adults with congenital heart disease continues.

John Ho MD, FACC

Dr. Ho was born in Philadelphia and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended Duke University. Dr. Ho graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed his Pediatrics residency at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Ho completed his Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at the University of California at Los Angeles and joined Pacific Pediatric Cardiology in 2013. His special interest includes interventional cardiology.
His personal interest include hiking, playing basketball and golf.

Frances Chen Travelli MD, FAAP, FACC

Dr. Travelli was born and raised in Alabama. She graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University. Upon graduation of her pediatric cardiology fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, she joined Pacific Pediatric Cardiology in 2015. Her special interests are in clinical pediatric cardiology and non-invasive imaging, particularly fetal echocardiography. Her hobbies include cooking, traveling, and horseback riding.

Susanna Tran MD, FAAP, FACC

Dr. Tran was born and raised in New York. She graduated from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. After working in the finance industry for several years, she went back to school at Weill Cornell Medical School and subsequently completed her pediatric residency at Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA. After residency, she completed her fellowship training in pediatric cardiology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She joined Pacific Pediatric Cardiology in 2016. Her special interests are in clinical pediatric cardiology and fetal echocardiography. She enjoys golfing and chasing her toddler around. She is also fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
